Notes
'Pleasant Surprise' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Pleasant Surprise') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, upward facing flowers have light pink guard petals around a cream collar and a powder pink tuft with red threads. Plants reach about 90 cm (35") and stand upright without support.
