Notes

'Plumosa compacta' creeping juniper (Juniperus horizontalis 'Plumosa compacta') is a shrub for borders, rock gardens, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average soil of most types. Deer tend to browse other plants first. This evergreen stays 12 to 24 inches tall, tolerates drought and salt, and spreads 35 to 59 inches wide. Give it room to spread.

Pairs well with Frosted Curls sedge, Deep Blue Clips tussock bellflower, and Little bluestem.
