Notes

'Poesie' iris (Iris 'Poesie') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer, and butterflies visit the flowers. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall.

Pairs well with Lupine, Hardy geranium, and Prinzessin Victoria Louise oriental poppy.
