Notes

'Pompeii' peony (Paeonia 'Pompeii') is a perennial for borders, cut flower gardens, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Ruffled pink flowers blend light orange and yellow toward the petal edges, and the upright stems do not need support. Joshua Scholten bred it. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Empress Wu hosta, Blue grama, Picture tulip, and Dittany.
