Notes

'Prince of Paulding' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Prince of Paulding') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The Japanese type blooms mid season with dark pink petals. Red tipped carpels and a yellow center of narrow staminodes add contrast. It grows upright and makes a fine garden plant.

Pairs well with Coralbells, Baby's breath, and Western sword fern.
