Notes
'Prolificans' lily of the valley (Convallaria majalis 'Prolificans') is a perennial for shade gardens, woodland settings, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry to wet, loamy or clay soil. Double white, waxy, bell-shaped flowers are fragrant and give bees an early spring pollen source. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Plant it under deciduous trees or shrubs as a groundcover.
Pairs well with American maidenhair fern, Sweet white violet, and Crested wood fern.
