Notes
'Rosea' lily of the valley (Convallaria majalis 'Rosea') is a perennial for ground cover, shade gardens, woodland, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry to wet, loamy or clay soil. Pale pink, waxy, bell-shaped flowers carry a sweet fragrance in spring. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It spreads to fill the space under deciduous trees, and bees visit for early pollen.
Pairs well with American maidenhair fern, Sweet white violet, and Sherwood Purple phlox.
