Notes

'Prospector' peony (Paeonia 'Prospector') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Large crimson flowers have white flares on rounded guard petals, and the tall stems need support when in bloom.

Pairs well with Coralbells, Phantom panicle hydrangea, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
