Notes
'Proximo' peony (Paeonia 'Proximo') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double yellow flowers have frilled guard petals and a slight citrus scent. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Stems may need support when the blooms open.
Pairs well with Coralbells, Western sword fern, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
