'Qing He' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Qing He') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, light pink flowers open in early to mid spring. They are single to semi-double and face upward. The upright plant needs no support.
Pairs well with Wild geranium, Prairie dropseed, and Grape hyacinth.
