Notes
'Qiu Weng Yu Xian' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Qiu Weng Yu Xian') is a shrub for borders and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant pink semi-double flowers open in early to late spring. The upward-facing blooms measure about 7 inches across, and the guard petals are ruffled and notched.
Pairs well with Praying Hands hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Hicksii yew.
