Notes

'Queen of Hearts' butterfly bush (Buddleja davidii 'Queen of Hearts') is a shrub for borders, pollinator gardens, cottage gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. Fragrant blooms on arching stems appear from early to late summer and again in autumn, and butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit them. Deer tend to pass it by. This shrub grows at a rapid pace.

Pairs well with Coneflower, Stonecrop, and Orange daylily.
