Notes

'Quintett' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Quintett') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It grows upright and spreading to about 59 inches tall. Fragrant lilac-pink semi-double flowers with dark purple flares open in early to mid spring. Irmtraud Rieck bred it, and the name honors its five rows of petals.

Pairs well with September Charm anemone, Prairie dropseed, Hicksii yew, and Sedge.
