'Quinton Menzies' aster (Symphyotrichum 'Quinton Menzies') is a perennial for cut flower use, pollinator gardens, meadows, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, clay soil. It reaches 36 to 84 inches tall and bears purple blooms in early to late autumn. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit the flowers.
