Notes

'Rachel de Thame' lupine (Lupinus 'Rachel de Thame') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Pink and white flowers open from early to late summer and attract bees. Lupines go semi-dormant after blooming. Plant it behind something one foot tall, then cut it back six inches after flowering to encourage new growth and reblooming.

Pairs well with Black-eyed Susan, Carlton daffodil, and Hairy aster.
