Notes

'Beefeater' lupine (Lupinus 'Beefeater') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Peony, Sapphire alpine oatgrass, Hardy geranium, and Purple Sensation ornamental onion.
