Notes

'Tequila Flame' lupine (Lupinus 'Tequila Flame') is a perennial. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Red and yellow flowers appear from early to late summer and attract bees. Lupines go semi-dormant after blooming, so plant them behind something one foot tall. Cut them back six inches after flowering to encourage new growth and reblooming.

Pairs well with Blush peony, Japanese spirea, Carlton daffodil, and Foxtail barley.
