Notes

'Rachel Dolores' peony (Paeonia 'Rachel Dolores') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Fragrant double flowers open orange-pink with carmine-pink flares and age to orange. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. The foliage stays lush green through late autumn.

Pairs well with Lungwort, Blue fescue, and Lily.
