Notes
'Ralph Shugert' common periwinkle (Vinca minor 'Ralph Shugert') is a groundcover for low maintenance planting and covering bare ground. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to moist soil of most types. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. It grows at a rapid rate and spreads 12 to 24 inches. The leaves stay evergreen, and the plant tolerates drought and salt.
Pairs well with European wild ginger, Variegatum Solomon's seal, and Hard fern.
