Notes
'Atropurpurea' common periwinkle (Vinca minor 'Atropurpurea') is an evergreen plant for ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows at a rapid pace and tolerates drought and salt. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer.
Pairs well with Christmas fern, Panicle hydrangea, and Bowl of Cream peony.
