Notes

Rampion bellflower (Campanula rapunculoides) is a perennial for naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. It grows 24 to 48 inches tall and spreads 12 to 36 inches wide, so give it plenty of room in the garden. Bluish-purple flowers open from early to late summer and color the planting through the season.

Pairs well with Smooth aster, Sedge, and American aspen.

Native range

Europe and western Siberia.
