Notes

'Red Cross' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Red Cross') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cutting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant crimson-pink flowers open in late spring on tall, upright stems above dark green foliage. George Hollis bred it in 1904.

Pairs well with Fringed bleeding heart, Woolly yarrow, and Sedge.
