Notes

'Regent' apple (Malus domestica 'Regent') is a tree for the food garden, grown for fresh eating and cooking. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. University of Minnesota bred it in 1963 from Haralson and McIntosh. It blooms in early to late spring and attracts bees, so plant a second apple nearby, since it is not self-fertile.

Pairs well with Honeyberry, Cat mint, and Rhubarb.
