Notes

'Reigyoku' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Reigyoku') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Wada introduced it in 1939. You can cut the flowers for indoor vases. Its woody stems stay above ground through winter, so give it a permanent spot in the border.

Pairs well with First Frost hosta, Pink Impression tulip, and Polish Spirit clematis.
