Notes
'Reine Amélie' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Reine Amélie') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Paillet introduced it as a new variety in 1889. Pair it with plants that bloom at other times so the bed stays interesting.
Pairs well with First Frost hosta, Pink Impression tulip, Polish Spirit clematis, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
