Notes

'Rhapsody in Blue' sage (Salvia sylvestris 'Rhapsody in Blue') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy soil. Blue-violet flowers appear in late spring and again from summer into autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the fragrant blooms. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, Heather, and Garlic chives.
