Notes
'Blauhügel' sage (Salvia sylvestris 'Blauhügel') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy soil. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It grows 18 to 24 inches tall and bears fragrant blue flowers. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Blue fescue, Coral Sunset peony, and Garlic chives.
