Notes
'Viola Klose' sage (Salvia sylvestris 'Viola Klose') is a perennial for borders, rock gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy soil. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the fragrant dark blue flowers. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It stays 12 to 18 inches tall and is evergreen.
Pairs well with Blue fescue, Ice plant, and Heather.
