'Rheinland' Spanish bluebell (Hyacinthoides hispanica 'Rheinland') is a bulb for borders, woodland gardens, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Violet-blue flowers with sky blue midribs open in early to late spring. It forms a clump and grows at a rapid rate. It sits low on the menu for deer.

Pairs well with Cheerfulness daffodil, Sensitive fern, and Big Daddy hosta.
