Notes

'King of the Blues' Spanish bluebell (Hyacinthoides hispanica 'King of the Blues') is a bulb for borders, containers, woodland gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It blooms in early to late spring with deep lobelia blue flowers that have lighter midribs. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It forms clumps and grows quickly.

Pairs well with Carlton daffodil, Western sword fern, Sedge, and Picture tulip.
