Notes
'Cœricea purpurea' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Cœricea purpurea') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It belongs to the Paeoniaceae family, which is the peony family. Because it is a woody shrub, you only need to prune out dead stems.
Pairs well with Liberty hosta, Black Parrot tulip, and Ostrich fern.
