Notes
'Richard Alleine' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Richard Alleine') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its light pink, apple blossom flowers face up, with two to three blooms per stem in early summer. The upright stems reach 28 inches and do not need support.
Pairs well with Tiger lily, Japanese spirea, and Spanish bluebell.
