Notes

'Ring of Fire' sunflower (Helianthus annuus 'Ring of Fire') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and pollinator gardens. Frost will kill it, so set it out only after the last frost in spring. This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Its bicolor blooms attract butterflies, bees, and birds. It grows fast and stands tall, so give it room.

Pairs well with Radiance cosmos, Peach Melba nasturtium, and Red fescue.
