Notes

'Rising Moon' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Rising Moon') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, purplish-blue double flowers open in early to late spring. Each bloom can be taller than wide when seen from the side. Plants grow upright to 43 inches and do not need support.

Pairs well with Perennial candytuft, Blazing star, Sensitive fern, and Carlton daffodil.
