Notes

'Rococo' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Rococo') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Tree peonies have woody stems that stay above ground through winter, so skip the hard cutback you give a perennial peony. Give it room to grow in a spot where it can stay for many years.

Pairs well with Rainbow's End hosta, Prairie dropseed, Black Parrot tulip, and Burnet.
