Notes

'Rose City' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Rose City') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Walter Marx bred it. The cup-shaped blooms are silvery rose with white edges and have long, silky staminodes. Strong stems hold the flowers up on plants 30 to 40 inches tall.

Pairs well with Ostrich fern, Picture tulip, and New Jersey tea.
