Notes

'Rose Heart' peony (Paeonia 'Rose Heart') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fully double flowers fade so the center stays deep rose and the outer petals turn white. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. William S. Bockstoce bred it.

Pairs well with Fire Island hosta, Moonshine yarrow, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
