Notes

'Rosette' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Rosette') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, double flowers open light shell-pink with a ring of short petals near the center tipped crimson. Strong stems hold the blooms in mid spring, and the foliage looks good all season. Give the heavy flowers good care, since the petals can turn loose and floppy.

Pairs well with Sedge, Incrediball hydrangea, Grape hyacinth, and Indian grass.
