Notes

'Rosish One' carnation (Dianthus 'Rosish One') is a perennial for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The red blooms have thin white edging and smell sweet. They appear in spring and again in summer, and bees and butterflies visit them. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Pink Impression tulip, and Shirley Temple peony.
