Notes

'Rotfuchs' spiked speedwell (Veronica spicata 'Rotfuchs') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, loamy soil. It forms a clumping mound 12 to 18 inches tall and wide, with pink to red flower spikes from early to late summer. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Claire de Lune peony, August Moon hosta, and William Baffin rose.
