Notes

'Royal Blue' common hyacinth (Hyacinthus orientalis 'Royal Blue') is a bulb for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant flowers are light blue-violet and open in early to late spring. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Pink Impression tulip, Dancing Queen hosta, and Prairie dropseed.
