Notes
'Ruffled Cream' peony (Paeonia 'Ruffled Cream') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, perennial beds, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double flowers are pale yellow-orange with red-purple flares and face upward. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. The leaves emerge purple, and the plant needs no support.
Pairs well with Big Daddy hosta, Spiked speedwell, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Pink Impression tulip.
