Notes

Running serviceberry (Amelanchier stolonifera) is a shrub for borders, hedges, woodland gardens, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It bears white flowers in spring and turns color in fall. Bees and birds visit it, and it tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Fragrant sumac, Lanceleaf coreopsis, and Indian grass.
