Notes

Utah serviceberry (Amelanchier utahensis) is a shrub for low maintenance beds, specimen planting, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. White flowers open in spring, and small, dark-purple fruit follows. Birds eat the berries, and bees and butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Big sagebrush, Antelope bitterbrush, Blue grama, and Woods rose.
