Notes

'San Jose' Chinese juniper (Juniperus chinensis 'San Jose') is an evergreen for ground cover, accent, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. It stays 12 to 18 inches tall and spreads 72 to 96 inches wide, so give it room. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It grows at a moderate rate and tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Blue grama, Gladiator ornamental onion, and Strawberry Hill rose.
