Notes

'Sapora' apple (Malus domestica 'Sapora') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Sapora is a cross between 'Rubinette' and 'Fuji', and it ripens late in the season, much like Braeburn. Its fruit is best soon after picking, so plan to enjoy it fresh. Bees visit the spring blooms.

Pairs well with Thimbleberry, Grape hyacinth, and Prairie dropseed.
