Notes

'Saturn' apple (Malus domestica 'Saturn') is a tree for the food garden, grown for fresh eating and juice. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The fruit is sweet with a juicy tang, and it has a lime green skin with a deep red flush. Light pink blooms open from early to late spring and attract bees. Dr Frank Alston bred it in 1980.

Pairs well with Honeyberry, Nepeta, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
