Notes
'Scarlett O'Hara' peony (Paeonia 'Scarlett O'Hara') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. The red blooms are fragrant and attract butterflies. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Keep it away from dogs and cats, since it is toxic to both.
Pairs well with Willow bell, Lady's mantle, and Globemaster allium.
