Notes

'Schlager' shore juniper (Juniperus rigida 'Schlager') is a shrub for borders and low maintenance ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average soil of most types. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It stays about 12 inches tall and spreads 35 to 47 inches wide. The evergreen foliage looks good all year, and the plant tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Creeping thyme, Blue grama, and Clary sage.
