Notes

'Secretary Fewkes' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Secretary Fewkes') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large double flowers open in mid to late spring with pale rose-pink petals and a flesh-white collar. They have a fair rose-like fragrance and fade to almost white with age. The blooms keep well on the plant and after cutting.

Pairs well with Wild geranium, Sedge, Annabelle hydrangea, and Tickseed.
